Welcome to the formation of the Ozone Society

Oxidation Therapy is in process of setting up the Ozone Society. It's members will have recognition for thier training and practice of Ozone Therapy in the UK. It is the Ozone Society wish that this recognition is extended into Europe.At present Ozone Therapy and it's practitiioners has no representation in the UK.

The Unkowns
Ozone Therapy by law has no law for it nor against it, which leaves it vunerable for therapist and clients

There are no standard operating procedures for complementary and medical methods and applications of Ozone Therapy, therefore there is no Good Practice in place to insure saftey for therapists and clients

There are no standards for equipment and accessories used for the treatment of Ozone Therapy in Complementary Medicine. On the internet there are many versions of Ozone Generators and many have no external auditing on manufacturing and safety of equipment. UK requirements that the Ozone units are CE certificfied and that any Ozone Generators used in any clinical application is classified in the Medical Device Directive for CE Certification

Ozone Therapy in Europe is recognised practice for medical doctors and specific naturopaths but there is no recognistion for complementary medical therapist in the UK.

What the Ozone Society can provide
To have a code of ethics and standard proctocol with good practice procedures for its methods and applications.

That clinical applications are only provided by doctors or nurses under doctors supervision. This is to ensure the safety of the therapist and clients.

The Ozone Society will have a members forum by which topics can be discussed and administrarted and provide network for UK Ozone Therapists.

An optional referral scheme so that clients can see thier nearest or most suitable Ozone Therapist. This may also be used if a therapist is away or is unable to take on more clients.

Each member has a space on the Ozone Society website for their details what they practice and offer, giving all contact details and links to websites.

On going educational programs providing CPD points will be in place and to provide more advanced courses and protocols in patient management.

To provide annual health ans safety courses for the use of medical gases.

Provide agents for indemnity insurance policies, Ozone Therapy Courses, Ozone Equipment and Accessories for ozone therapist who are registered members.

The next steps
Oxidation Therapy is in process in the Ozone Society's adminstration set up and website construction. The website will also provide standard information for clients to know what is Ozone Therapy, what to expect from an Ozone Therapist who are members to the Ozone Society. There will be a seperate section for Clinicians and Doctors.

Therapist who have been already trained by Oxidation Therapy will be invited to join at a discounted rate. There are different membership levels, from students, therapist who are not actively practicing and active ozone therapists.
